Forney Planning & Zoning Approves Downtown Boundaries

At last Thursday evenings Planning and Zoning meeting, Commissioners approved a new zone designed to outline an official downtown area for Forney.

Encouraging questions and opinions from the many Forney residents attending the meeting, Commissioners studied the attached map as City Planner Peter Morgan detailed the new boundaries for downtown Forney.

Recommended for approval by the Downtown Advisory Board, Commissioners explained to the crowd attending that the newly drawn boundaries would allow the downtown area to be more clearly defined within the City Comprehensive Plan and that it would further require the approval of the Forney City Council.
