Jackrabbits await their "Last Play" at Super Bowl
Forney Pee Wee Association
November 17, 2008
Two Jackrabbit teams advanced to the second round of playoff this past weekend held in Kaufman. A blustery day for football, with high numbing winds, everyone wrapped in blankets, sipping hot chocolate; football went on…
The K-2 team hit the field ready to “fight for every inch”, but it was not to be. The boys played their hearts out, only to come up short on the score board. It was a day of missed handoffs, miscued plays and short yardage. The Panthers defeated the Jackrabbits 25-0. The Jackrabbits stood tall with class, style and pride. Congratulations to the K-2 Jackrabbits for an outstanding year filled with Honor, Dedication and Heart.
The 5-6 Jackrabbits hit the field, feeling the frigid temperatures, but choosing to ignore the pain, instead redirecting the pain to the Tigers. The assault started early with the Jackrabbits scoring the first touchdown and the rabbits never let up. The Defense was inescapable, everywhere a tiger stood, a Jackrabbit was waiting in the shadows to take him out. The pounding continued and the offense lit up the board with two more touchdowns. Jackrabbits are victorious over the Tigers 18-6 and will advance to the Super Bowl next weekend. |
